Established in 1999, Humanity Afrique was founded on a simple but powerful belief—that every individual deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, realize their potential and contribute meaningfully to society regardless of their background or circumstances.
For more than two decades, Humanity Afrique has partnered with communities to address barriers to education, improve access to essential services, support vulnerable populations and invest in the next generation of leaders. What began as a grassroots initiative providing educational bursaries to children from disadvantaged households has evolved into a trusted community organization implementing programmes that promote education, disability inclusion, youth development, women’s empowerment, access to safe water and community wellbeing.

In 2026, the organization embarked on a strategic transformation designed to strengthen its governance, modernize its systems, expand its partnerships and increase its impact across Kenya while remaining true to the values that have guided its work since its inception.
As Humanity Afrique looks toward the future, it remains committed to its founding purpose: creating opportunities, strengthening communities and transforming lives through compassion, partnership and sustainable development.
Where We Work
Humanity Afrique was established in Machakos County, Kenya, where the organization has maintained strong community roots since its founding in 1999.
Over the past two decades, our programmes have responded to locally identified needs while building trusted relationships with schools, community leaders, youth groups, women’s groups and vulnerable households.
Although Machakos County remains our historical home and primary area of implementation, Humanity Afrique is committed to progressively expanding its programmes across Kenya in response to emerging needs, strategic partnerships and available resources.
As the organization grows, we envision extending our work into neighbouring counties before ultimately contributing to sustainable development initiatives across East Africa.
